FLYING THE OUTBACK – Experience an exhilarating
flight through the vast Australian Outback with nine
vintage aircraft. In the fall of 2005, two Americans, Doug
DeVries and Rob Richey, shipped their 1942 Stearman
biplane all the way to Australia, joining up with their
Aussie mates for a 4,000 mile flight through some of the
most remote areas in the country. Stunning high
definition footage by Oscar winning director of
photography Eric Thiermann coupled with the story of
two pilots on a quest of discovery yields a compelling
film.
Shark Patrol – The safari pilots
“looking out for sharks” along the
east coast.
Aussie Cowboy – The Safari pilots visit
rodeo legend Rusty Frame in Longreach
Lake Amadeus – Formation flying
over the remote dry lake bed. The
faint lines are wild camel tracks.
Uluru – Former RAAF fighter pilot
Jim Whalley puts his de Havilland
Chipmunk through its paces near
Ayers Rock
